Small kitchens, big ranges
Olde Town is the part of Issaquah that was here before the car-shaped suburbs: a walkable grid around Front Street where the houses are older and the kitchens were not drawn for a pro range. When one goes in, it is usually a 30-inch model squeezed into an opening that once held something plainer, with the wall cabinets and the hood fitted around it afterwards.
That is why a fault here so often has a second half. A burner that will not light may be a wet electrode — and it may also be a range pushed back against a gas stub-out that was moved during the remodel, so it no longer sits level on its legs.
What we check before the part
Wolf’s installation guide wants combustible wall cabinets beside a dual-fuel range kept at least 18 inches above the counter, and a pro hood between 30 and 36 inches over it. In a tight Olde Town run we measure both, look at how short and straight the duct to the outside wall really is, and confirm the anti-tip bracket is still engaged if the range has been out.
None of that is charged separately. It is part of the diagnosis the service call pays for.
