What the blinking usually means

The power drops in a winter storm, returns an hour later, and the range greets you with a blinking panel. The current dual-fuel touchscreen loses its clock and its control lock in any outage, and only resets the clock itself when on Wi-Fi. The current all-gas range has no clock to lose. Relighting, and when a reset is not enough

Wolf’s advice is to switch a gas oven off during any outage, however short. If one was left on through a brief cut, its igniter should relight the burner once power is back; if it does not, turn the knob off and on again. A Wolf gas oven cannot be lit by hand, so never try.

On the burners, yes, with care. Wolf allows the surface burners of its gas and dual-fuel ranges to be lit by hand: knob to high, flame from a long lighter held at the edge of the burner, one burner at a time.
